

Is this ‘good practice’ to keep the encoding part on a separate machine and reducing risks of stuff going wrong - or is it adding potential problems? Or does it even make a difference. One of my sources is a laptop running OBS but mainly as a way to have VTs lined up and for graphics etc. This is fed by the usb-c of my atem mini. Is the encoder as good as OBS? Better? How is it for the CPU?Īt the moment my setup terminates on an iMac which is running OBS but literally as an encoder only.

I know it doesn’t have some of the granular control of OBS. I am ok with OBS and think I’m in control of it but I find plugins and installing their latest versions etc a bit of a drag with the Mac version.Įcamm Live looks like it’s supported quite well and has all the things baked in.
